Student Network Seeks Student Content . . .
From Students

So you've gotten this far, you're probably interested in learning more about how you can have your work featured on College Channel. Well, look no further. Below, we've listed opportunities for having your work featured on current shows, as well as information on everything else we accept – which when it comes down to it, is pretty much everything else. You don't need to fit into the constraints of what's offered in our current lineup (though we'd love it if you did). So get involved, we'd love to have you on our network!

College Channel Show Opportunities

Half-Baked is College Channel's irreverent cooking show where our hosts and plenty of special guests will show you how to make their favorite culinary creations. Nevertheless, we know that college is a time where Mac and Cheese is considered a five-star meal and Ramen is a food group. That's why we want you to send us your own unique meals; from simple sandwiches to the more extravagant stuff, like, say, something employing a hot plate. When you're stuck in a dorm, resources are limited, so get creative and film your own 3-minute spot showing us how you stay fed.

Collegetown USA gives you an inside look into what makes some of America's best college towns tick – the unique people, places, and experiences that make each college town one-of-a-kind. We know we can't possibly showcase every college town and we know that students across the country are proud of their own stomping grounds. So give us a tour of your college town – we won't even need to stay on your couch. Send us a video between 3 and 5 minutes where you introduce our viewers to the place you call home for the most exciting four…er…five years of your life.

Here's some of the stuff we like to see:

  • Popular Places – Bars, Nightclubs, Music Venues
  • Events – Homecoming, Tailgates, Spring Weekends
  • Eats – Specialty meals that you can only find in your town.

Tell us what you think sucks. Seriously. That's it. Film yourself in your web cam, on your couch, in a tree, really it doesn't matter (actually it does – please don't contact us from prisons, bathrooms, or certain parts of Greenland), and if it's funny and creative enough we'll showcase it alongside the work of some of the best comedians working today. And for these – please keep it under :60 seconds.

Everything Else

Okay, so you don't know how to cook, you don't got much to say about your college town, and you don't think stuff sucks – in fact, you think the world is just peachy. Don't sweat it. This is a network for and by students, and to that end we are working to create outlets for all types of work. We will feature incredible students films, pranks, music and sketch comedy. We're so dedicated to this end that we're gonna list that last sentence in bullet form. Again we accept:

  • Sketch Comedy
  • Student Films
  • Creative Pranks
  • New music videos from college bands.
  • and pretty much anything else you can think of (that doesn't require verification that we're 18 years old to watch).

You can always contact us with questions or for advice (info@nationallampooncollege.com). We've got pretty much nothing else to do.

Best of luck.
